Kinkara are special Dharma Protectors for practitioners of Heruka and Vajrayogini. They are emanations of Heruka and Vajrayogini who emanate as skeletons. This appearance of being devoid of flesh symbolizes that enlightened beings are completely free from self-cherishing.
