Introduction

This CD features a recording of both the Mahayana Refuge Ceremony & Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony, in accordance with the booklet version available from Tharpa Publications. Both ceremonies are traditionally performed with a preceptor, and thus a short pause is included at the appropriate point in the CD where the preceptor guides the actual taking of the vows. The chanting resumes with the special dedication prayer.

As noted in the booklet, the wording for the requesting and thanking mandalas varies slightly depending on which ceremony is being followed; both alternatives are included in this CD.
