Introduction

This booklet contains two prayers for the long life of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

The first, Spontaneous Accomplishment of Wishes, was composed in 1979 by Geshe-la’s root Guru, the incomparable Yongdzin Trijang Dorjechang, at the request of the students of Manjushri Centre.

The second, A Heavenly Song of Immortality Requesting the Guru to Remain Forever, was composed in 1990 by the Glorious Dharma Protector, Duldzin Dorje Shugden, at the request of the students of Madhyamaka Centre.

The first prayer is intended for regular recitation, and it is hoped that Geshe-la’s faithful disciples will recite it daily without interruption.

The second prayer is to be recited after Spontaneous Accomplishment of Wishes on special occasions, or at any time we wish.
