Buddha statues and stupas should be filled before being used as holy objects for worship.

Filling statues is a very beautiful thing to do. It is said that by filling statues we create the cause to become ‘filled’ with realizations ourselves, but it is very important to fill them correctly. If we fill a statue correctly we accumulate merit for as long as the statue exists, but if we fill it incorrectly we accumulate negativity for that same period.
