Introduction
When we have received the blessing empowerment of Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara we have received the instructions on training in common paths and training in uncommon paths, and we have received special blessings. To make these instructions effective we need to engage in the practice of the yoga of Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara self-generation sadhana.
The benefits of practicing the yoga of Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara are immeasurable. We will receive the special blessings of Buddha continually, and thereby experience inner peace, a peaceful mind, all the time. Because of this we will be happy all the time. This is what we really want. We will make progress in our Dharma practice easily and quickly, and in particular through receiving Buddha’s blessings continually we will gain the ability to control our anger, attachment and self-grasping ignorance. Through controlling these delusions we can solve all our human problems. Ultimately, by continually receiving the special blessings of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, upon our very subtle body and mind we will be able to use our very subtle body and mind as the basis of imputation for our I. Through this we will attain the vajra body which is deathless, the vajra mind—the union of great bliss and emptiness—and we will become an enlightened being like Avalokiteshvara.
Having received the empowerment of Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara we should apply effort to practice the yoga of Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara self-generation sadhana. By doing this we will accomplish our final goal, the supreme happiness of enlightenment.
