Tharpa Publications is a non-profit corporation that publishes the works of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

It is part of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union – an organization dedicated to promoting Kadampa Buddhism worldwide.

Geshe Kelsang has published 20 books, which range from extremely accessible introductory works to highly acclaimed commentaries on the most profound aspects of Sutra and Tantra. Tharpa also provides audio books, printed and chanted prayers, and various items of Buddhist art, all produced under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang.

A mimumum order value of R 90 is required. Upon receiving your order and confirming payment, all items are shipped from our offices in Durban. Shipping is calculated as a % of the order value.

  • For orders within South Africa +10%
  • For orders from Botswana, Comoros, Kenya, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland +20%
  • For all other African countries including Angola, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mozambique, Reunion, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia,
    Zimbabwe +25%.

Refund Policy
You may cancel your order within seven days of receipt of the goods. Please inform us of your wish to cancel in writing, by fax or email and return the goods to the address below. If the goods are received in re-saleable condition, you will receive full reimbursement excluding cost of carriage.

Damaged Goods
If any goods are received in a damaged condition, please inform us immediately and return the goods to us. We will send you a replacement free of charge.
